Record Suspension Ontario: Our Pardon Application Process

When you choose us, we’ll handle the entire record suspension process for you. We have legal and administrative professionals whose sole purpose is ensuring you get all the records and information together as well as fill and submit all the required forms perfectly. Here’s a summary of our process;

Step 1: Eligibility Assessment

We start by helping you determine if you are eligible to apply. Ontario pardons are applied after a certain waiting period has lapsed which is dependent on the case in question i.e., type of criminal record, if you paid fines in full, served the prison sentence in full, etc. Let’s discuss your case and we’ll let you know if/when to apply.

Step 2: Securing Criminal and Court Records

After confirming eligibility, you need to submit information about your criminal convictions in Ontario to the Parole Board. We help our clients do criminal record checks at this stage.

This may involve requests to accredited institutions i.e. an accredited fingerprinting company or your local police station. We assist with digital fingerprints submissions required when applying for pardons.

We’ll also help you get proof of conviction/s and additional documents required when getting Ontario Pardons. The information is acquired by contacting the court that handled your case. The local police service that arrested you can also provide this information.

Step 3: Filing the Record Suspension Application Form & Exception Form (if applicable)

All questions in the record suspension application must be answered completely and truthfully. There are circumstances where you may require more space. We assist our clients in determining such scenarios and attaching additional info to applications.

We’ll also help you fill out your measurable benefit/sustained rehabilitation form needed to convince the Parole Board that your pardon will offer measurable benefits and help you as you rehabilitate into society.

Other Application Steps

You may also be required to fill out other forms such as an exception form if your criminal record is due to certain criminal offences like schedule 1 offence (sexual offences).

The above steps are a summary of the Ontario record suspension application process. We handle these and more so that you don’t have to attempt to apply for a pardon on your own and lower your chances of approval.

Let proven pardon application experts like us guide you. We offer our professional advice and support every step of the way and submit applications on behalf of our clients after following a foolproof checklist. If you trust our process, there’s a near-zero chance of your application being rejected.

Our Advantage: Professional Ontario Pardon Services

  1. We Simplify a Seemingly Complex Pardon Application Process

There are multiple steps that must be completed and they vary depending on individual cases. The Parole Board also expects applications to be filed completely, accurately and convincingly (for specific forms i.e. measurable benefit/sustained rehabilitation form). We make a complex process easy.

  1. We Offer Higher Chances of a Successful Application

An incomplete application or one with errors (typos) can be rejected or returned. If you apply before meeting the eligibility criteria set by the Parole Board, your application will be rejected.

Failing to give satisfactory reasons in the measurable benefit/sustained rehabilitation form will also lead to an application rejection.

Don’t risk a job opportunity, educational opportunities, apartment rental opportunity, child custody case and more by attempting a process you don’t understand fully. Contact us to receive a great service. We’ll be with you at every step of the way.

  1. Save Time

If your Ontario pardon application gets rejected, you will be given reasons for the rejection, and you can re-apply again. However, you must wait for a year to start an appeal process, and you still won’t be guaranteed anything unless you address the concerns behind the rejection.

Avoid common mistakes and don’t waste your time.  Leave record suspension applications to the experts.
